The Spaniards invade New Zealand!

As I wrap up my last tramping experience, I just had to pay a tribute to a lovely bush we found on the trail that is called a "spaniard".

This bush might not look very dangerous but it is deadly! Those leaves are sharp. As we were pulling ourselves up mountains in the wind and rain, these spaniards were a nice additional obstacle to our assent.
This picture is just a random view into New Zealand. There are something like 40 times more sheep than people in New Zealand. That's a lot of sheep! As we drove home yesterday, we had to take a small detour around the sheep lining the road. Just one more crazy thing that happens in this country...
